I am currently working on the tupolev tu-154. Currently the first 500 frames are added and now in the process of indexing them. A bulk update will be done soon as finished.

At an estimate there is about two/three more weeks work to complete.

A progress as to how its going will be given at the next update

    Hello,

Any chance as part of the updates that we can get a list of consistent types to be used in the central database?

For example, there are currently 12 variations for the DHC-2 Beaver, when there should probably be only 2. I am tying to sort out the correct type to use when adding airframes.

    Thanks,

    Hi Stephew,

They are a few different types that need to be "trimmed down" the same way as Airbus / Boeing types for example, its something that is being worked on.

    Hi All,

We have updated the central database with any aircraft that have been recently written off/destroyed - we do this on a daily basis.
Gavin is providing me with up to date lists for BizJets in a format for bulk uploading from excel - we have done this for this weeks list.
If anyone else receives update info electronically let us know as we may be able to automate it.

Currently working on BAE Hawks - updating missing C/N
    Doing BAE Jetstreams next.

    Hi Stephen,

We have updated references to Beaver aircraft
Can you take a look and let us know if it is OK,

We are continually cleansing the CDB but if you need any specific types rationalising let us know

    My weekly update

As of tonight 468 Tu154’s have been entered and indexed. Another 140 still to do, hopefully they should be completed by next weekend, soon as they are completed a bulk update will follow, then it will be the Tu154m next to do.

Last week, tiding up A320 / A321s also going through a list of 150ish airliners stored in usa and updating them + previous ids. Just had a monthly email with transfers & new registered airliners that I am updating so plenty to keep me occupied.

If anyone has any info regarding airliners please email me and I will update the database.

    Cheers
    Gavin.

    Hi,

We have been rationalising all the variations of different aircraft types so we end up with more precise groups
So for Cessna 172 - we had cessna 172, 172x (various trailing letters), f172 (various leading letters) plus a million and one variations.
It's a pain but means searching etc is correct - got a lot more to do but will push on.

When a member spots something and it shows on the home page we check and if it's the correct type but a wrong variation we go to the CDB and correct it and any others fo that type while we are there.

Will be good when it's all sorted .... eventually

    Cheers

    Tasks for this week,

Boeing 767 & 757 adding Series against any that are just plain 767 or 757, and updating previous ids then fully update both, this may take more that 1 week lol.

In spare time !!!! try to re-organise some airline entries so they are all the same, British Airways, not British aw if you get drift.

Also daily updates of amy new or re-reg airliners & anything else that pops up that needs amended.
    Cheers

    Gavin.

Still adding tupolev 154’s only 80 aircraft frames to be completed, then cross checking all entries. A general tidy up of the database also done

A bulk tupolev 154 will be done when it’s finished.

Been away for a week so just trying to update new airline deliveries and any transfers that need to be done, hope to have this finished tomorrow (Sunday) then back to Boeing 757s.

Had a weekend spotting at Heathrow 268 new airliners logged a good return I would say.

    Finished Airbus A310s.

Started to up-date Airbus A300s this week, plus trying to keep on top of airlines new & re-registered and anything else that I notice.
